Narasaraopet is a city in Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The town is a municipality and the mandal headquarters of Narasaraopet mandal in Narasaraopet revenue division.Narasaraopet was built on flat land ringed by hills that are an extension of the Eastern Ghats. The summer months can get exceedingly hot while winters are mild. Rainfall is due to the monsoon and is concentrated in the months of July–September. It is centrally located at about 50km from several towns like Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Pidiguralla, Vinukonda, Repalle, Ponnur, Tenali, Bapatla and Chirala. It’s about 10km from the renowned Temple of Kotappa Konda. It’s at about 4 hours drive from Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar Dam. Narasaraopet is well connected by both Road and Rail. Howrah Chennai NH5 at Chilakaluripet is at 20km from UCEN while Narasaraopet Railway Station is on Vijayawada Bangalore railway line with famous trains like Amaravati, Prasanthi, Vasco Da Gama Kondaveedu express trains.
